About Schooling At Play

About My Enrichment Program-
My goal is to equip children to love learning while providing a stress-free yet challenging educational environment. I believe that children learn by playing. So I provide hands-on math, literacy, geography, and science games and activities. In addition your child will be exposed to poetry, music, art, and Sign Language - all through a play.  Occasionally we do take educational field trips to Denver which will be planned a week or more ahead of time.

*Please look through the subject tabs at the top of this page to see pictures of some of the fun activities your child will be taking part in during their time with me.

Here are the descriptions of our centers.

Circle Time- Where we learn about the calendar, sing songs, memorize Scripture, and work on team building.

Literacy Lane- Where we learn letters, phonics, reading, and spelling. Build vocabulary, practice handwriting skills, read books and poems, and write letters and stories.

Science Site- Where we go to categorize and hypothesize. We learn about the inner workings of our body as well as our solar system. We test our theories about everything from "How is rain made?" to "Can plants grow in the dark?" to "Does sugar really rot my teeth?".

World Wanderer- Who we get to be as we study geography, world cultures, travel, history, and map reading.

Math Matrix- Full of fun hands-on games and activities that teach us about counting, addition, subtraction, measurements, telling time, and money values.

Creative Corner- Where we get to expand our imaginations, explore art, learn to express ourselves through speech, song, dance, paint, and so much more.

Music and Movement- Where we get exposed to famous composers and songs, learn and act out children songs, work on balance, coordination and stretching, and get some exercise.

Sensory Play- Our hands-on learning area. Full of sensory bins, textures, smells, lights, water, and dough play that follow our weekly themes.

Theme Play- Our weekly themes have us learning about biomes, animal classifications, our solar system, the human body, and so much more.
